Learn BaZi

A structured English hub for BaZi (八字, bāzì)—the Four Pillars of Destiny (四柱命理, sìzhù mìnglǐ). Start with definitions, follow internal links, then open theBaZi apps for charts and Daily Qi. There is no web calculator on this site.

Popular Chinese astrology online often stops at a year animal. BaZi keeps that Year branch, then adds Month season, Day Master (日主, rìzhǔ), and Hour coloring so the chart can describe structure and timing. This Learn hub groups every educational guide on chineseastrology.site so you can move from vocabulary to reading sequence to advanced timing without getting lost in fear headlines or shopping-list “remedies.”

Use the three groups below as a path. Basics explain what the system is and how it differs from zodiac memes or Western natal charts.Chart reading gives you stems, branches, elements, Ten Gods, and a practical order of operations.Advanced covers decade luck, annual luck (流年), compatibility dynamics, and Useful God (用神) with explicit cautions. When you need personal pillars, go to /app/—Android is live, and iOS links ship from the App page badges.

Every guide aims for answer-first definitions, 中文 + pinyin for technical terms, internal links back here, and soft CTAs to the apps. Content is for cultural education and self-reflection—not medical, legal, or financial advice.

Basics

Orient to Four Pillars language before you chase timing tricks or compatibility scores.

Chart reading

Build the skill stack: pillars → Day Master → elements → Ten Gods → careful Hour timing.

Advanced

Timing and comparison layers—still educational, still without a web engine or fake scores.

Ten Day Masters

Each Heavenly Stem can sit as Day Master. Open a stem guide after you know the hub definition.

FAQ

Where should absolute beginners start?

Read What is BaZi? or Four Pillars of Destiny, then Day Master, then How to read a BaZi chart. Use this Learn hub as the map; open the apps when you want calculated pillars.

Does this site include a BaZi calculator?

No. chineseastrology.site is educational SSG content only. Charts, Daily Qi, Dos/Don’ts, and Oracle tools live in the BaZi mobile apps.

Why do guides include Chinese characters and pinyin?

English search terms vary (BaZi, Four Pillars, Liu Nian, Yong Shen). Showing 中文 and pinyin keeps the technical vocabulary aligned with classical names.

What is the difference between Da Yun and annual luck?

Luck Pillars (大运) are roughly decade cycles. Annual luck (流年) is the year’s stem–branch read inside that decade and against the natal chart.

How do I study without fear-based content?

Prefer answer-first definitions, reading sequence, and timing layers over clash panic or shopping-list remedies. Useful God and compatibility pages on this site take that caution explicitly.

BaZi is a traditional Chinese metaphysics system shared here for cultural education and self-reflection. It is not medical, legal, or financial advice.
